How do you even imagine that would work? And now, of course, people start crying that their computers got infected with malware. The trailer to "Equestria Girls" (the humanized MLP spinoff film) finally was released today. Aaaannnd everyone's freaking out. Again.
You know, it actually looks pretty decent. Bronies... please understand: I know you're a major unexpected demographic for the show. I know you enjoy seeing shout-out's become canon within the show, and appreciate how the creators do little things here and there for you. But... the show isn't made for you. This is not Cartoon Network and the target demographic isn't 25 year olds in college. You're a nice addition to the target demographic of little girls, but you are not the driving force behind MLP.
I don't want this to sound mean, but it needs to be said. This is where it becomes very important to understand the fine line between being a fan of the show and thinking that because you've invested so much energy into the show that you're entitled to things.
I'm sure the movie won't be as bad as everyone makes it out to be. It honest

I find sticking to one style restrictive if you are a beginning/moderate artist! (even professionals I might say! though I can't speak for everyone)
Having a distinctive look on how your art is done and produced is understandable and its a desire to appear unique to the point some one can just SEE your work and instantly think 'Oh! that's Ten-days!' or something along the line. However, when you are trying to find who you are and what kind of art you are to produce, I recommend trying, well, a lot of different things! Different styles, mixing styles, different colouring techinque, brushes, tools, shading. Don't feel dependant on what you are already doing and don't feel pressured by people just for trying new things!
Push out of your comfort zone. Can't draw hands? don't avoid it! draw the heck out of them! (how else are you going to learn?)

Did anyone watch Game of Thrones last night?

I did and thought it was decent. My largest issue was the dire wolves were not in it really at all except when first found. That bond between the dire wolves and the Stark children was so developed in the books, it really stuck out to me that it was missing in the show.

What are your thoughts?

I think stuff went pretty fast. They try to put a lot of information in 1 episode (understandable ofc). I was a bit disappointed in the wedding (it felt a lot smaller than I had imagined it to be in the book). I hope Daenerys becomes more the strong and determinate woman I imagine her to be during the next episodes. And I was a little dissapointed in Sansa's dialogs.
That being said... I loved it haha. I loved the way they created all the cities/castles and I think they generally did a great job on casting. Although I agree it would be nice if the wolves get a bit more attention.

Yeah, the wedding was a little small and I thought that Dany's first time with Drogo was not so unpleasant in the books as they made it seem...am I remembering wrong? The actress plays a good meek character so it will be interesting if she can pull off the other end of the spectrum as it progresses.

Yeah, me too on Sansa.

It must be so challenging to bring a book to life like this, so I give them the benefit of the doubt, but they hopefully will meet most expectations by the end.

In the books, I believe Drogo sort of asked her permission. They took the bells out of his hair, then something along the lines of "Yes?" and she said "Yes" .. not.. him just pushing her down onto her hands and knees with her bawling.

I liked the opening scene, I thought the whites were done very well. I thought the wolf pups were adorable, I was also a bit disappointed there weren't more of them.. and that they were so light colored but I understand there's got to be a few things that won't be perfect.

I just got tired of looking at Dany's chest and that blank expression she wore. I'm not liking that actress too much yet.

That sounds right.

Yeah, I hope she gets some more facial expressions going too. Although she was supposed to be scared and ignorant at first, I hope the other Dany comes out well in the actress.

Now that I have watched the second one....
I think Sansa doesn't fit the most, physically I expected something different and a little more ferocity towards Arya.
Cersei also is a bit off for me. The actress is too cool when I expect a little more intensity.

Yeah. Rob and Jon aren't how I expected.. I wasn't picturing either one being scruffy and I believe Rob's supposed to be kind've broad and very fair skinned, from certain angles they look nearly identical to me.

No I thought exactly the same thing about Dany and Drogo. They didn't get into detail though, I think she cried at first aswell in the books but I'm not 100% sure.

I still like plenty of things well enough about the pilot, so I can forgive them the little flaws so far

. The hard part is having to wait an other week now.
